Fireflex Panels and Baffles

Class-one flame-resistant FireFlex foam panels—high-temperature applications

FireFlex foam is an excellent noise absorbing material and is rated for high-temperature applications or those requiring Class 1 rated materials. Heat resistant to 482°F and able to withstand constant temperatures up to 320°F, FireFlex is engineered for environments where temperatures are high, sparks or other hot materials may fly, large numbers of people congregate, or where building code requires fire-rated materials.

FireFlex material is a porous acoustical melamine. The internal structure is a spacious cellular complex of slim, flexible webs that are membrane-free and completely open-celled. The result is a lightweight and easy-to-install material.

FireFlex is approved as a Class 1 building material and is also resistant to many chemicals. Panels come in three different colors—natural white, light gray and charcoal. The charcoal colored product additionally meets the European flame standard. In addition, we can paint FireFlex panels with two different types of paint:

1. Standard latex—we can match any color
2. Multi-Spec latex—great for the theatre room or for that extra splash of color

Products that are constructed of FireFlex include:

• FabTec—FireFlex plus with fire-rated fabric, with a flat surface and fabric face, fabric wrapped edges, velcro-compatible, 4 stock fabric colors, custom colors available. All fabric colors are Class 1 rated.
• Anechoic wedge—contoured profile that traps and dissipates airborne noise Pyramid—useful in almost any application and possesses an attractive design, reduces reflected noise within a room
• Max wedge—uniform wedge design helps trap airborne industrial noise. Open-cell structure dissipates noise energy to control harsh reflected noise and reverberations
• Hanging baffles—contoured profile anechoic wedge pattern absorbs and dissipates airborne noise
